Cubist Inspired Portraits- Colour Intensity.

This is what you end up with when Year 5 students are let loose on Picasso. After explaining Cubism, Picasso and portraits to them, discussing the characteristics, style and design, students were asked to create their own version. Also backgrounds were discussed, considered and altered. I believe they are amazing. Oil pastels were the instrument used and here are just a sample. Now I have a few hanging up in the classroom on the back wall. The photos don't do the works enough justice as the colours are a lot brighter and the intensity is just blinding! Here I have a few first without the background and below with the background. Quite an amazing difference! Gee, they are clever students...... I just love when everything falls into place!
